At the start of 2011, I sat down with my brother (Blackstar) and we decided to start producing together under the name 'Star-One' (a combination of both our names, duh!) . We have been producing together for years as part of the Blacksta Productions crew but decided that the acronym would allow us to work on remixes and different kinds of material.
Last week we uploaded our first track, an impromptu remix of the theme tune to popular childrens TV programme Rastamouse. We made the remix on a whim as abit of a joke but have been overwhelmed with the response to it! After it got taken down from the Blackstaproductions youtube due to copyright it was reupped by GorillaSkank and has had over 30,000 YouTube views in a week as well as thousands of plays on our soundcloud! On top of that MistaJam has picked up the tune and played it on both his 1xtra and Radio 1 shows!! Madness!!
